The Terms and Conditions displayed below are a very important part of the booking procedure. Here you will find everything you need to know about our tour policies.

Cyan Adventures is operated by Freediving Philippines Inc.

PRICES

Prices for tours in US$, EUR, Php or Korean Won. Rate conversion is updated every 12 hours automatically. Remaining payments are calculated on the conversion rate of the date the remaining payment is made. Base rate is US$.
Prices may be subject to change at the discretion of Cyan Adventures.

BOOKING POLICY

Customers can book their tours straight through our online booking, which can be found on our website. 

Tours happen every day so as soon as you book it is confirmed!

Canyoneering does not require a minimum of participants, we offer every day.

For other tours we require at least 2 people, but you have the option of purchasing a single ticket. If that happens, please contact us no later than 24 hours before the tour date, to check if other seats have been taken. In case no one else joins your tour, we can issue a full refund, OR, if customers consider doing a private tour, he or she may purchase a second ticket and do the tour alone with our guide. In case no contact is made, we can try to contact customers to let them know the tour is cancelled.

Please note that some items in the webshop (motorbike, rooms) may not be automatically available for booking, so customers will need to send us an email request first for availability.

We always charge a down payment of at least 50%, and the remainder is paid in cash or card at the start of the tour. You can also visit our sales office already the days before to finalize payments.

In case the customer  switches hotels or changes the original pick up address, he or she must send us an e-mail with the new address through our contact page, or contact us by phone. In case of tour date changes, see the tour date changes policy below.

PAYMENT POLICY

Cyan Adventures accepts major credit cards via Paypal, Western Union deposit and electronic bank transfer (transfer cost covered by sender).
Please email us if you wish to make an electronic bank transfer.

Customers can also choose to pay the full amount to avoid money hassle at the day of the tour.

PayPal payments can be also made without having an account at PayPal! You just choose to pay directly with your credit card.

LIABILITY

Cyan Adventures claims no responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, injury, sickness or schedule change due to weather, strike or any other cause beyond Cyan Adventures’s control. We will make every effort to safeguard our customers and their personal property , but cannot be held responsible for personal events beyond the tour operators control, or to damage sustained by tourists including those occurring outside the touring program.Cyan Adventures acts in good faith, and cannot be held responsible for any agent, hotel, coach operator, tour guide or any other person’s or company’s acts, defaults or delays. We therefore advise all customers to have comprehensive travel insurance to meet all contingencies.

Cyan Adventures reserves the right to alter routes, itineraries or departure times, without prior notice, should the necessity arise.

Our highest goal is to provide excellent customer service to every customer and every time. If, for any reason, any customer is dissatisfied with his tour package, we want to hear about it. All information in the website is subject to change. Cyan Adventures reserves the right to alter/change/correct mistakes that may possibly appear in the website or published price lists.

Cyan Adventures also assumes no responsibility for any act of negligence or omission whatsoever, by any company whose services are used as part of packages provided.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellation made  by Cyan Adventures 

Adventures are in nature and that can some days lead to cancellations from our side. In case of doubt we will go to the starting place of the activity and judge conditions there. If the tour has to be cancelled we give full refund from our side.
Please be reminded that the weather in Moalboal is often different from the weather in Cebu City. 
The decision made, in terms of changing the itinerary due to unforeseen circumstances, like floods, breakdowns, traffic jams, heavy rain, thunder storms, it will all be left only to the tour guide in charge.
If a tour has to be cancelled right in the middle of it, due to sudden weather changes that can put  our customers at risk, we will then take customers back to their hotel.
If customers can reschedule the tour, a 10% fee  will be charged, to cover our expenses. In case customers cannot reschedule the tour, we refund 50% of the total price if the cancellation happened in the first half.
If it happened in the second half (point of decision taking and cancellation after 1pm) we do not refund any money.

Cancellation made by customers

Full refund and no penalty for cancellations made 30 days or more before the activity date (except the PayPal transfer fee). 
For cancellation 15 days to 29 days we refund 30% of the full price.
Less than 15 days - no refund.

Please be reminded that customer cancellation because of sickness, missed plane, traffic congestion or other reasons that are not under the control of Cyan are not refundable.
We recommend buying travel insurance (https://www.worldnomads.com/travel-insurance/) if you want to be secured beyond this point. 

This policy applies for outdoor adventures only. Rooms or any other items may have different cancellation policy stated.

Tours also happen during rain. You get wet anyway during most tours. Guests can not cancel a tour based on their own assumption that the weather represents a risk.

REFUND POLICY

Refunds are paid within 15 days via paypal, once the request  is aproved. 

BOOKING CHANGES POLICY

In case the customer needs to change the pick up address or increase the number of participants, he or she must be make the request by e-mail. There is no fee charged for these requests.

Requests for date changes to a booking must be made by e-mail from the person who submitted the booking originally.

A fee of 20% the tour price will be charged for date changes requested in less than 7 days before the tour date.

CHILD POLICY/AGE RESTRICTIONS

Minimum ages change , according to the sightseeing tour or adventure tour you choose. Check below.

Canyoning: 12 years or older
Hiking - Osmena Peak: 10 years or older

Cebu City Mystic River Trekking: 6 years or older
Cebu City - Jungle Trek: 6 years or older 

Cebu South Waterfall Tour: no age restriction
Whale Shark Tour: no age restriction
Sardines Snorkeling: no age restriction

 

FITNESS AND PARTICIPATION

Cyan adventure tours are easy to medium difficulty so some require a reasonable level of fitness.

If you have any doubts about your capability of participating on a tour, please contact us by e-mail or phone and we will be happy to assist you. People with history of heart or lung diseases shall not participate in any adventure tour.
